According to reports, Assam appears to be heading for the change. Chances of Tarun Gogoi being replaced is high as Gogoi himself neither denied nor confirmed reports of his resignation.
“I won't say yes, I won’t say no,” Gogoi told a newspaper. “How can I say that when the decision rests on the (party) high command?” Gogoi said.
Gogoi has been the chief minister for the last 13 years.
There are talks about Maharashtra chief minister Prithviraj Chavan being replaced as well.
