Tata Group Chairman Ratan Tata paid a courtesy call on Assam Chief Minister
Tarun Gogoi at his official residence here.
Tata, who arrived here last
night, met Gogoi and held discussions on the progress of ongoing projects of the
company in the state, official sources said.
Tata was on a visit to the
state to hand over keys of 150 Nano cars to customers at two Tata Motors outlets
here.
Speaking on the occasion, Tata said Assam was an important state for
the company''s growth activities.
Tata Motors looks at the development of
commercial vehicle as a total Indian effort without any collaboration with any
foreign company, he added.
